About Anna
Anna began teaching the Bible in Children’s Church as a pre-teen. Soon after, she launched a prayer group, led youth Bible study, and pursued writing faith-based monologues. While participating in a traveling drama ministry in high school, Anna met her best friend and future husband, Nik. The two attended Bible college, married, and launched into pastoral ministry with Nik serving as a solo pastor and Anna leading children’s classes at Christian Life Baptist Church in Salem, IN.
After serving in Indiana, Anna and her husband moved to Dallas, TX for his graduate training and ongoing ministry. While in Dallas, Anna launched a mom’s group to foster community and create an organic avenue for outreach. She also joined the staff of Keep Believing Ministries as the Administrative Assistant turned Director of Development.
In 2017, Anna relocated to Hershey, PA for her husband to join the pastoral staff at Hershey Free Church. Since then, Anna has enjoyed serving as a guest speaker, small group leader, and ministry coordinator. Professionally, she has continued to serve in the Christian nonprofit sector and most recently served as a Fundraising and Marketing Manager.
In May 2024, Anna will complete a graduate degree in Biblical and Theological Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. During her time as a student, Anna has received professional training in preaching, NT exegesis, and Biblical exposition. Her desire is to continue utilizing her professional training and gifts of speaking to reach those who have not heard or misunderstood the Gospel.
Still, most of Anna’s heartbeat for ministry does not shine through her resume but her life story.
From an early age, Anna wrestled with unique complications of complex trauma and undiagnosed neurodivergence. Without a frame of reference for mental illness or an accurate explanation of her behaviors, Anna fell prey to misdiagnosing herself with presumed sin issues and was routinely victimized by ungodly shaming. After years of pleading with the LORD to forgive her of “unknown sins” and wondering why the God who “broke every chain” couldn’t seem to break hers, God gently led her to the truth in her late twenties. Through the help of multiple health professionals, wise mentors, licensed counselors, and loving friends, Anna was able to receive necessary treatment while the Holy Spirit deepened her theology of God and suffering.
Now in her mid-thirties, Anna continues to be upheld by the God who has known and loved her all along.
Through this journey, God has reshaped Anna into an empathetic cheerleader for others who struggle with religious misunderstanding and personal suffering resulting in unnecessary shame.
